Hello, guys (:

Post  Russian Bear on Sun Nov 08, 2009 1:47 am

Hello all.
Ingame my name is ٿ Mynes ٿ, or ٿ Russian Bear with VODKA ٿ.
I like stereotypes about our country, as though we drinking vodka together with bears in shapka-ushanka (caps with ears). I'm patriot of my country (:.

I like post-apocalypse (fantastic).

Post-apocalyptic fiction is set in a world or civilization after such a disaster. The time frame may be immediately after the catastrophe, focusing on the travails or psychology of survivors, or considerably later, often including the theme that the existence of pre-catastrophe civilization has been forgotten (or mythologized). Post-apocalyptic stories often take place in an agrarian, non-technological future world, or a world where only scattered elements of technology remain. There is a considerable degree of blurring between this form of science fiction and that which deals with false utopias or dystopic societies.

Sadly, but we can see an example of ghost-town now. This town names Pripyat. Ukraine.

Fifty thousand people lived here. All was good, if it were not for a tragic closeness to the exploded Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Now it's a ghost-town.

Maybe anyone play in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or in Fallout? Or watch film like Mutants, or I'm-legend? It's Post-apocalyptic.

I'm 15 years old. I'm playing in WCS from last week. And on your server about 2 days (:

And I know, that my English is very bad. I think, that talking with English-speaking peoples can teach me.

Wow man thats one big detailed post.

I Love post-apocaliptic settings as wel.
Not so much in games.
But I love the movies.
the postman
waterworld
mad max (1,2,3)
I am legend
aon flux (not agragian but futuristic)
Also at electro and cyber gothic partys.
(I own some costumes my self)

Welcome to the server and welcome to the forum.

Perhaps if you like the cross between futuristic and dystopias.
You might want to google the term steampunk.

(playing steam games just now made me realise how stupid that sounds lol)

Welcome mate.

Thanks all (:
And for continuing a theme, I want to talk about post-apocalyptic, and I think, that we can copy this theme for talking about it, or continuing this theme here.

I dream to go on an excursion in Pripyat. It's can make website Pripyat.com. It's a very interesting site. They have many histories from peoples, who lives in pripyat, many photos and many information about this catastrophe.

But Pripyat - it's not one ghost-town in the wold.

Photos of ghost-town on the island of Gankadzhima in a pacific ocean. A city-island was populated in 1810, when there found coal. In a flow 50 years, it a city was the densely populated place on a planet, his population: 53000 persons, at the radius of island of a 1 km. Natural resources ended, and to 1974 a city was abandoned by the last habitant. From after buildings, an island is reminded by a war-ship. Gankadzhima (Gunkajima) in a translation from Japanese means a cruiser. Presently, the visit of island is forbidden.
