NEW IDEA FOR ADMINS ***READ***

Well i have heard some bad things about Katie:suspect: and i was thinking hmm:confused: what could we do to get him/her to stop without banning him/her. well i was thinking we could have a list of admins who are on probation for misusing their powers. so instead of doing a ban they would have their powers taken away and have to be given at least 3 thumbs up from other admins and one from Bowsy before they can get their powers back. me in the past have suffered from bad admins who get mad at dieing and abuse their powers.

Post if you think it is a good idea or not just wanted to know what you think.

I've read this yesterday and didn't respond right away because I wanted to let it sink in.

This is what I make of this:
I like the general idea of this new suggested rule.
But if I'm not mistaken the penalty for admin abuse is already discribed on the server rules.
(admin rules #3)

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to strip an admin all of his or her powers in one swipe.
That way an admin will never really have a chance to prove they can deal with the powers.

But perhaps to give the penalty form:
The downgraded admin WeeD got for his trial period to become admin,
is a good penalty for admins who abuse their power.
I do like the thumbs up idea, but would call it votes instead of thumbs.

hmm sorry about what i said i did not type it in the way i wanted. what i meant is lets say an admin is being a dick. if the admin gets more then 4 complaints then they will get (1) power taken away from them by (Bowsy) if they don't stop then (1) more. but it is up to bowsy to take it away (BUT) if they play by the rules and can show they can be a good admin (bowsy) will give them back (1) power at a time over how ever long he see's fit.


Side Note....

BTW i am not bad mouthing Katie i just think she needs to be a bit more lenient and give people more chances. because you dont know how old the person is. weather it is there little brother (in my case) that go's on and gets you a temp ban then they think it is you. you just need to give them A LOT of chances kick them 4-5 times if needed but only ban as a last resort. don't ban because they piss you off that is like me going up to a 14 Year old and punching him in the face because he called me a fat ass or a dick.

well what i meant by thumbs up was votes by thumbs up i meant that other admins agree with what should be done.
