Battlefield 2 reduce ping times ?

IS anyone able to help me reduce ping times ? i live in Aus and kinda have to play in USA based servers now because the game is kinda going dead, my ping is always above 200+ and it is hard to play like that, is there anyway i can reduce the ping times ? thanks in advance if you can help with this one. Cheers

if you are connecting to servers with a huge range to teh connection, your going to get a high ping. Normal pings to american servers for me is 110-230

You couldn't try ajusting rate settings.
